We never hold your money

This is the most important thing to understand. Unlike Venmo, Cash App, or a sportsbook, we never have access to your funds. Your money sits in your personal wallet, and only you can move it.

This means we can't freeze your account. We can't delay your withdrawals. We can't take a cut without you knowing. If Sidepot disappeared tomorrow, your money would still be right where you left it—in your wallet.

How predictions are secured

When you put money on a prediction, it goes into a digital lockbox that only releases funds when the prediction is settled. Think of it like an escrow account, but automated—no lawyers, no waiting, no humans who could mess with it.

The rules are set in code: when referees confirm the outcome, the lockbox automatically pays the winners. Nobody can change the rules mid-game or run off with the pot.

Everything is verifiable

Every transaction—deposits, positions, payouts—is recorded publicly. You don't have to trust us; you can check the receipts yourself. It's like having a transparent bank statement that anyone can audit.
